Leading and Managing Curriculum Change (Secondary Cohorts and Launch of Primary)

As part of Whole Education’s mission and purpose to support schools to provide an engaging education that develops the skills, qualities and knowledge of all young people, we have created a leadership series to support professional development for school leaders. At a time of major changes to curriculum and assessment, this programme provides a unique opportunity to develop thinking and explore emerging best practice.

Our new 'Strategic HR in MATs’ programme supports MATs to develop the confidence and capabilities they need to overcome the challenges presented by the teacher recruitment and retention crisis. We need more teachers than ever before and still there is a pressing need to address the declining wellbeing of existing colleagues. Our bespoke 12 month learning programme links schools and MATs with  leading organisation and people strategy experts from outside the education sector to support them in approaching HR in a more holistic and strategic way that drives outcomes and values for the long term. The programme launches on 1st March with an additional launch date added for 1st May

Spirals of Enquiry

Spirals of Enquiry is a programme developed in Canada which has been tried and tested in 70% of British Columbia primary schools and is also used in Australia, New Zealand and England. At its heart is an action research framework based on collaborative teacher enquiry which has been shown to lead to sustained improvements in pupil outcomes, particularly in groups who have historically underachieved. The approach has been adapted for the UK context by Whole Education with the involvement of the initiators and developers of Spirals of Enquiry, Drs Linda Kaser and Judy Halbert.
